We've had lots of things going on lately besides being sick, Ruby got a new big girl bike, we became *sigh* mini-van owners, we had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day and Stephen and Stephanie came for a visit! Life is good to us.
Charlie is a fire cracker, we love her little personality and how laid back she is along with how quick she is to tell us when she doesn't like something! She ADORES Ruby, from afar. Whenever Ruby gets near her or tries to hold her she immediately starts squawking and looks at us pleading with her beautiful blue eyes to come rescue her. I do feel bad for Ruby sometimes because there are times that Rubes just wants to play with Charlie and not torture her. :) It's so funny because she does it now before Ruby even gets close to her. She's moving around more every day and now likes to use your leg/hands/hair to pull herself up to standing. She's so proud of herself when she gets all the way up. Charlie's a great eater and loves chew things. She's a pro at cheerios, bananas, chunks of sweet potatoes and teething cookies. This past week she's mastered picking bits of food up from her tray and getting them to her mouth. She gets very excited that she can do that now. We're hearing more sounds now, we have da-da-da, bla-bla-bla, and I'm starting to hear some mmmm sounds so maybe "momma" is on the way? :) She is just so lovable and is a BIG Daddy fan.
Ruby, Ruby, Ruby. Ruby's favorite thing is going to the Library and picking out new books and DVDs for the week. She loves to take her newly lent treasures up to her "quiet time" in her room and look at them over and over again. She is so smart and really, really funny but so, so, so sassy and independent!! She has such a big and tender heart that will just make you love her to bits but also has a side that makes you want to send her to the moon for a nice long visit. She just LOVED having Uncle Stephen, Aunt Stephanie and their dog Scout here for a visit. She didn't let them rest, that's for sure!
We are so super excited to have J-A and Mae visit us for a whole week, they arrive tomorrow night! Yippeee!! Lots of adorable pictures to come from that week I'm sure!
Just sittin' here being cute!
Ruby was really quiet one time in her room. When I came up to check on her, this is what I found. 2 shirts, 2 sweaters, a fleece jacket and a hoodie. All zipped up by herself.
Had to snap a picture of them playing nicely together!
Exactly 3 years ago, Ruby's first Mother's Day!
I requested a pedicure with my favorite 3 year old for Mother's Day.
She loves pedicures almost more than I do, if that's possible!
The finished product.
Charlie, the cheerio-eating ninja!
Eating a strawberry almost as big as she is!
Ruby sneaking up to scare the "sleeping monsters".
Artwork.
New big girl bike!
