Visitors!

We've had a great couple of weeks! We've been busy and having lots of fun. Our good friends and ex-neighbors from Atlanta, The Leonards, came for a visit over the Memorial Day weekend. Ruby and Ian were so excited to see each other again and played together very well. Ruby LOVED baby Sarah and wanted to sit by her and "pet" her a lot. The moms and dads had lots of fun together too! We've been busy with beach trips, b-day parties, play groups and neighborhood BBQs and continue to love our new home. We're meeting more and more great families all the time and Ruby is getting a good group of little friends to play with. Love to you all!

Tu-tu and baseball cap. Pretty much sums up her personality!

Both Ruby and Mommy have been a little under the weather the past week or so but we're on the mend now. We had to lay low so we didn't get to the beach last weekend as we'd hoped. We found a great place for breakfast near the beach that makes Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids! Ruby loved it as her favorite thing to watch on TV right now is her DisneyLand sing-a-long DVD. She loves naming off all the characters. Guess we'll be making a trip to Disney soon! We're excited to have our first visitors soon - Brian, Mandy, Ian and baby Sarah will be visiting for Memorial Day weekend. YAY!! Ruby's vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds and she continues to amaze us every day. Just yesterday we were in the shower and Mommy was hogging the water and instead of saying "Ruby turn" like she would normally say, she said "my turn". Just little things like that blow my mind because she is just learning so fast! She also says "see ya" now instead of "bye-bye". She continues to have a quirky sense of humor and we love seeing what makes her crack up. It's been a challenge trying to get Ruby to eat lately. Pretty much everything we give her now, which is all stuff she used to eat, she spits it out and says "don't like it". She's never spit out chocolate though. ;) We've really lucked out with our neighbors and are enjoying getting to know them. Ruby loves the two little girls, Elle and Eva on one side and a little boy, Christopher on the other side. One of Ruby and Mommy's favorite thing to do is go to the Bush Wildlife Sanctuary every Wednesday for storytime where they bring animals around for the kids to touch. Ruby has no fear! She also loves the deer section and spends most of her time there. See the video! Doug is really liking his job and feels like he's finally settling in and feeling more comfortable with his responsibilities. Still no hits on our house in Atlanta but we're remaining hopeful! Love to you all.
