Charlotte - Weeks 36 & 37

What a fun week and a half!! Auntie J-A and Mae came to visit for a week and we had so much fun! All 3 girls have grown so much since their last visit and it was so great to see the cousins together. Ruby loved having 2 babies to boss around and take care of and kept us on our toes by testing her limits with kissing/hugging/holding/helping the babies. It was nice to have J-A confirm to me that, while Ruby is an awesome, loving kid, she is a HARD kid!!! She definitely likes to push buttons and limits but also has a huge, loving heart. That one's going to be the end of me some day. :) Mae is the sweetest little thing and gave me so many cuddles and kisses and hugs and pats. I've never seen such a loving baby. J-A really is a fantastic mother and I loved watching her with Mae.

Charlie has had a big couple of weeks! She now army crawls all around and pulls herself up to standing. She is so super strong and only likes to hold on with one hand when she's standing up. She's very independent and is getting very feisty with Ruby and doesn't let Ruby push her around so much. Ruby is still the one that can get her to laugh the most and scream the most. It's so funny, sometimes when she sees Ruby coming, she army-crawl-hightails it over to me, the "safe-place". Still no teeth but oh-so-close!! She eats pretty much what we do now, just blended in the food processor. It's so nice to just make one meal now!

Ruby had her ballet recital last week and it was adorable!! She opted out of the tap portion where she clung to me while nervously giggling and then joined the group for the ballet part. She absolutely loves dance and is sad it's over.

Hope all my Canadian family and friends had a great long weekend, ours is coming up this weekend. Check out the video of Charlie getting around at the end. Love you all!

Charlotte - Weeks 33, 34 & 35

Hi everyone! It's been quite a busy few weeks! The kids got sick and then Mommy got sick but we're all on the mend now and more than ready for another good healthy streak!

We've had lots of things going on lately besides being sick, Ruby got a new big girl bike, we became *sigh* mini-van owners, we had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day and Stephen and Stephanie came for a visit! Life is good to us.

Charlie is a fire cracker, we love her little personality and how laid back she is along with how quick she is to tell us when she doesn't like something! She ADORES Ruby, from afar. Whenever Ruby gets near her or tries to hold her she immediately starts squawking and looks at us pleading with her beautiful blue eyes to come rescue her. I do feel bad for Ruby sometimes because there are times that Rubes just wants to play with Charlie and not torture her. :) It's so funny because she does it now before Ruby even gets close to her. She's moving around more every day and now likes to use your leg/hands/hair to pull herself up to standing. She's so proud of herself when she gets all the way up. Charlie's a great eater and loves chew things. She's a pro at cheerios, bananas, chunks of sweet potatoes and teething cookies. This past week she's mastered picking bits of food up from her tray and getting them to her mouth. She gets very excited that she can do that now. We're hearing more sounds now, we have da-da-da, bla-bla-bla, and I'm starting to hear some mmmm sounds so maybe "momma" is on the way? :) She is just so lovable and is a BIG Daddy fan.

Ruby, Ruby, Ruby. Ruby's favorite thing is going to the Library and picking out new books and DVDs for the week. She loves to take her newly lent treasures up to her "quiet time" in her room and look at them over and over again. She is so smart and really, really funny but so, so, so sassy and independent!! She has such a big and tender heart that will just make you love her to bits but also has a side that makes you want to send her to the moon for a nice long visit. She just LOVED having Uncle Stephen, Aunt Stephanie and their dog Scout here for a visit. She didn't let them rest, that's for sure!

We are so super excited to have J-A and Mae visit us for a whole week, they arrive tomorrow night! Yippeee!! Lots of adorable pictures to come from that week I'm sure!

Just sittin' here being cute!

Ruby was really quiet one time in her room. When I came up to check on her, this is what I found. 2 shirts, 2 sweaters, a fleece jacket and a hoodie. All zipped up by herself.

Hilarious back view!

Helping Dad. Did I mention it's 90 degrees out?

Goofy sisters.

Had to snap a picture of them playing nicely together!

Hanging out at the car dealership. Both girls were extremely good!
